@sarahp.bsky.social What will ChatGPT use instead? An en dash? A regular hyphen? I’ve had this in my custom instructions since earlier this year: “Avoid using em dashes - instead, use en dashes with a space on either side.” It worked some of the time. I wonder – will it obey that all the time now?

@nevillehobson.xyz Well, I am impressed. In less than 20 minutes, I have a working Ghost 6 install locally in Docker. No faffing about with permissions, Windows ridiculousness, none of that. But, the original route I went with ChatGPT-5, ultimately a failure, was a good learning experience. Three days not wasted!
@nevillehobson.xyz Well, after three days on and off, I’ve concluded that the route ChatGPT-5 took with Python, etc, is a complete disaster. The chatbot agrees and suggests Docker! This looks to me that it’s been a case of the blind leading the blind lol

@nevillehobson.xyz What I’m doing does work and has done before. This time, though, it’s a full install, ie, including Python, MS Visual Studio Tools and quite a few workarounds because of the Windows environment. Getting there, though!
@nevillehobson.xyz This is installing Ghost locally on a Windows 11 PC. I do like the challenge! It’s not that difficult, although this time has thrown up many obstacles related to doing this on Windows 11. Huge learning experience. But I see light at the end of the tunnel!🔦
@nevillehobson.xyz This has turned into not a Python issue at all, more of a npm issue on a Windows platform. In fact, I think it’s a sqlite3 issue. Resolving this is quite educational., especailly as it’s not yet resolved ☺️
